Roland Illés

Roland Illés has a diverse work experience in product design, with roles in various industries and companies. Roland started their career as a Product Designer at Kognitiv Product Design Center Vienna, focusing on designing user-friendly experiences for the tourism industry. Roland then moved on to VICE Media, where they collaborated with well-known brands and improved user experience for ING-DiBa's online banking platform. Roland then worked as a Senior Product Designer at TourRadar, an online marketplace startup, where they utilized SEO, data-driven design, and A/B testing to enhance usability. Currently, they are a Lead Product Designer at Erste Group, one of Central Eastern Europe's biggest banking groups, where they contribute to the creation of their online banking application, George. Roland leads multiple product teams, designs features for iOS, Android, and web apps, and actively participates in the design chapter's feedback culture.

Roland Illés earned a Master's degree in User Experience Management from Fachhochschule Technikum Wien between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they studied Media Technology at Fachhochschule St Pölten from 2013 to 2016.
