Elliott Benjamin

Elliott Benjamin is a Partner in the Real Estate Department.

Elliott has more than 25 years of experience in transactional real estate matters including commercial and residential purchases, sales, financing, refinancing and leasing, as well as on corporate and general business transactions.

Elliott graduated from Middlesex University in London, England in 1995 with an LL.B and attained an LL.M in International Banking Law from the Morin Center for Banking and Financial Law at Boston University in 1996. He is licensed to practice in California and New York.

Elliott has served on the Board of Directors and held various positions in a number of organizations, including the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles and the Central British Fund – World Jewish Relief. Elliot is a former member of the Board of Directors and various sub-committees (including its domestic operations, international operations and public policy committees) of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, a position which he held for more than 10 years. Elliott currently serves as a Vice President and is a member of the Executive Board of the Iranian American Jewish Federation in Los Angeles, an organization with which he has been involved in various capacities since 1998.

Elliott has co-authored a number of articles, including an article on attorney-client confidentiality entitled “Keepers of the Secrets,” published in Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine, a publication of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Elliott has participated in a number of panel discussions and conferences relating to issues concerning Iranian religious minorities, including a conference hosted by Hebrew Union College at UCLA where Elliott addressed the matter of Iranian Jewish immigrants and the re-creation of community in a session entitled “The New Transplanted”, a panel discussion on the role of Iranians in America entitled “Bridging the Gap Between Two Worlds” hosted by UCLA Hillel, and an event organized by JIMENA (Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa) entitled ” Concerned About Communities Threatened by Radical Islam: Learn Why Jews and Christians Living in Muslim Countries Face Persecution.” Elliott was also a regular speaker at Milken Community High School in Los Angeles, where he addressed students on the conditions for Jews in Iran and the migration and resettlement of Iranian religions.
