Jeffrey A. Merriam-Rehwald

Jeffrey A. Merriam-Rehwald is a Partner in ECJ’s Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts Department.

Jeff focuses his practice on estate planning, administration, and related litigation, and the legal and emotional issues raised by such matters.

He has extensive experience advising his clients on sophisticated planning for all sizes of estates, including business succession planning, using a variety of techniques to achieve his client’s goals. Jeff also has extensive experience advising and representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries on transfer tax matters, fiduciary obligations, probate and trust administration, probate and trust litigation, and postmortem tax planning. Jeff particularly enjoys and excels at working with clients to address the emotional aspects of planning for their estates, resolving disputes with family members and coping with the loss of a loved one.
