Abey Abraham

Abey Abraham has over two decades of experience in the banking sector, currently serving as the Business Head of Mortgages at ESAF Bank since February 2024, focusing on building the mortgage business from the ground up. Previously, Abey held several senior positions at South Indian Bank from June 2021 to December 2023, including Head of Retail Liabilities and Gold Loans. Prior to that, Abey was with ICICI Bank from October 2003 to June 2021, where responsibilities included National Head for Key Accounts, overseeing retail P&L, products, and customer experience, as well as serving as Zonal Head for Mortgages in the South Zone. Abey's extensive experience encompasses overall retail strategy, managing asset and liability targets, and connecting to the startup ecosystem. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Accountancy degree obtained between 1999 and 2002 and a Class 12th degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Delhi Cantt, in 1994.
