George John

George John (Bobby) has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and positions. GEORGE is currently a Board Member at the Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ESAF Bank from 2017, where they held various roles including Executive Vice President - IT, Operations & Digital Banking, Executive Vice President - Business, and Head Micro Banking. Before joining ESAF Bank, George held the position of General Manager at ESAF Microfinance and Investments Pvt.Ltd from 2013 to 2017 and served as Zonal Head from 2008 to 2013. GEORGE was also a Member of the Board of Directors at ESAF Swasrya Multi State Agro co-operative Society from 2012 to 2017 and worked as a Director at PRACHODHAN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES from 2008 to 2017. George began their career at ESAF in 1998, where they held positions including Associate Director, Senior Manager, and Manager. GEORGE also served as a Program Coordinator at ESAF from 1994 to 1996.

George John (Bobby) has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Fintech from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a Masters in Social Work degree from the Karve Institute of Social Service, Hillside, Karvenagar, Pune from 1996 to 1998. George John (Bobby) also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business/Commerce, General from CMS College Kottayam, which they earned from 1991 to 1994.
