Heather Watson

IT Director at eSalon

Heather Watson has a long history of work experience in the technology field. Heather began their career in 1996 as a Computer Technician at Ithaca College, where they learned to type on a typewriter and used their savings to purchase their first computer. In 2000, they took a job as a Change Manager for Intira Corporation. Heather then moved to Amano in 2001, where they used their technical skills to learn all facets of the parking and time industry. In 2003, they joined the Savannah Morning News as a Technologist/Helpdesk Supervisor, where they oversaw all computing operations and the migration of a 150 year old/500 employee newspaper to a new location. During this time, they also wrote a syndicated technology column for the Morris News Network called "The Prima Data". In 2006, they became the IT Manager/Director for David & Goliath, a fast-paced, nimble Los Angeles advertising agency. In 2014, they became the Founding Director of Education and Information Technology for the American University Preparatory School, a start-up STEAM boarding school in downtown Los Angeles. Finally, in 2016, they became the IT Director for eSalon.com, where they were responsible for supporting a 200 user environment, PBX, MDM, SSO for several application platforms, GApps administration, O365, Ubiquiti networking, CCTV, Fire and Intrusion systems.

Heather Watson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Business from Ithaca College between 1996 and 1999. In 2016, they earned a Barracuda Web Security Gateway Certified Engineer certificate from Barracuda (NYSE: CUDA). In 2017, they obtained a Crossfit L1 Training Certificate from CrossFit, Inc. In 2022, they are expected to receive a Google IT Professional certificate from Coursera. Additionally, they hold an Apple Certified Associate certificate.
