Elira Daja has diverse work experience in various roles. Currently, they work as a Data Engineer at esanum since November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Knowledge Graph Engineer at Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM from July 2019 to October 2020. In this role, they implemented scripts for transforming ontology information and built new ontologies. Elira also designed documentation for an EMMO project. Before that, Elira worked as a Teaching Assistant (Distributed Computing with Spark) at The University of Freiburg from October 2018 to July 2020. In this role, they developed solutions for recommender systems, designed lab experiments, and conducted teaching classes on distributed systems and machine learning. Elira also has experience as a Research Assistant (Bioinformatics) and Teaching Assistant (Bioinformatics) at The University of Freiburg in 2018 and 2017 respectively. Additionally, Elira worked as an Assistant Economist at M.R.M Pegaso, where their responsibilities included inserting receipts into the system, checking checkbooks for errors, and preparing reports through Access.
Elira Daja pursued their Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics from the University of Tirana between the years 2012 and 2015. Following that, they went on to complete their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at The University of Freiburg from 2016 to 2020.

esanum is an online community for medical doctors with medical news and information, CME and congresses. The esanum network reaches over 2 million medical doctors from 100 nations across the globe. esanum was founded by chief gynaecologist Dr. Bodo Müller and his nephew Tom Renneberg in 2007. Today esanum employs over 150 people. It facilitates knowledge transfers across all medical specialties and connects medical doctors in all corners of the world. Only registered medical doctors can access esanum.
