Carl Murphy

Carl Murphy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in retail market development and market systems regulation at ESB Networks since 2004. Currently serving as the Retail Market Development Manager, Carl is responsible for the design and management of the retail electricity market on behalf of the Commission for Energy Regulation. Previous roles include Retail Market Systems and Regulation Manager and Retail Market Design Service Manager, alongside experience as an IT Project Manager, managing project delivery, resource planning, and budget management. Carl has also served as a functional SME in SAP IS-U Energy Data Management, contributing significantly to projects such as the ESB Networks Global Aggregation Project. Carl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science from Griffith College Dublin.
