Tom Van Gessel

Tom Van Gessel is currently a Board Member at ESCA Zwemmen. Tom has previously worked as the Global Finance Director at Cordstrap from February 2019 to September 2022, the Group Controller at Aalberts N.V. from January 2016 to January 2019, and Business Controller Europe (a.i.) at Riwal from July 2015 to December 2015. Tom has also worked as the Finance Director at Esperite N.V. from April 2014 to March 2015, and as Group Controller at Esperite N.V. (pka Cryo-Save Group N.V.) from November 2008 to March 2014. Prior to that, they worked as Financial Controller at MEDIQ from May 2006 to October 2008.

Tom Van Gessel attended the University of Amsterdam, where they studied finance and control. Tom then went on to earn their master's degree in business administration from Nyenrode Business University. After working in the financial industry for several years, they decided to pursue a career in compliance and risk management. Tom is currently a certified Six Sigma Orange Belt and works as an executive program compliance and risk manager for Erasmus Economics & Business Executive Education.
