Layra Zapata

Layra Zapata has over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing. Layra began their career in 2001 as the Sales & Marketing Director at One Link Communications, where they developed and coordinated direct selling programs, incentive plans, marketing mix, feasibility analysis, forecasts, policies and procedures, promotional programs and advertising campaigns. In 2013, they became a Partner at Visions Solutions, Inc., where they directed the company selling designer eyeglasses to optical stores with clients in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, and traveled to several countries in Europe to source and identify brands for resale. In 2015, they became the VP of Sales at Open Mobile PR, where they developed an annual sales plan in support of the organization's strategy and objectives, and ensured communications were coordinated, supported sales plan objectives and met organizational expenditure requirements. Finally, in 2018, they became the Sales & Marketing Director at Escalate Sciences.

Layra Zapata received their Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the Universidad de Puerto Rico in 1996. Layra then continued their education, earning a Master's degree in International Business from the Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico in 2015.
