Paul Wren

Paul Wren is the current Chief Scientific Officer at ESCAPE Bio. Paul has also held positions at various other companies, including Pfizer, GSK, and GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to their current position, they were the Head of Pharmacology at the New Opportunities Unit at Pfizer. Paul has also been a Senior Director at Neuroscience Discovery at GSK and a Manager at Disease Area Leader at GlaxoSmithKline. Paul Wren has also worked as a Senior Scientist at Organon and a Scientific Assistant at Sandoz Institute for Medical Research. Paul began their career as a Laboratory Technician at Wellcome Research Laboratories.

Paul Wren has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology (Neuroscience) from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Physiology from Queen Mary University of London.

Paul Wren reports to Julie Anne Smith, President & Chief Executive Officer. Paul Wren works with Brian Edquist - Vice President – R&D Operations, Nick France - Vice President, Clinical Research, and Jacob B. Schwarz - Head of Chemistry.
