Nic joined Eschweiler & Potashnik in 2018 and was registered as a Patent Agent with the USPTO in 2019. Nic has technical areas of expertise including electrical and computer engineering. and earned both of his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2017, where graduated Summa Cum Laude and was on the Dean's List for 8 consecutive semesters. Nic previously received an Associate Degree of Science and an Associate Degree of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College in 2013, where he likewise graduated Summa Cum Laude and was on the Dean's List for 5 consecutive semesters.

In the Master's program at The Ohio State University, Nic focused on digital signal processing and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies. During his tenure at Ohio State and prior to joining the Firm, he worked at Sandia National Laboratories as an SIP Technical Undergrad in 2015 and 2016, where he designed and characterized S-band patch antennas and designed and set up various signal processing and RF field measurement apparatuses. Nic also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the ElectroScience Laboratory at Ohio State from 2013 until his graduation, where he developed various RF and antenna systems.
