Joseph Vansteenkiste

Joseph Vansteenkiste has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security. Joseph worked at eSentire starting from 2015, where they held various roles including SOC Operations Lead and Senior Security Operations Centre Analyst. In 2019, they became a SOC Advanced Services Cyber Security Specialist. Prior to that, they worked at Fanshawe College as a Peer Tutor in 2014. Joseph'searliest work experience was at Computing & Communication Services at the University of Guelph, where they were a CCS Student IT Consultant from 2009 to 2012. Joseph holds certifications including CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, and CSIE.

Joseph Vansteenkiste has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Guelph, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. In 2014, they pursued further education at Fanshawe College and completed a degree in Information Security Management.

In terms of certifications, Joseph has obtained several credentials. Joseph achieved the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)² in May 2018. Additionally, they hold the GCIA (GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst) certification from GIAC Certifications, which they acquired in July 2020.

Joseph has also obtained multiple certifications from CompTIA. In January 2016, they acquired the CompTIA Security+ ce certification. Then, in January 2019, they earned the CompTIA CySA+ ce certification and the CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification.

In April 2022, Joseph acquired several certifications from CompTIA, including the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) ce Certification, CompTIA Infrastructure Security Expert – CSIE Stackable Certification, CompTIA Network Security Professional – CNSP Stackable Certification, CompTIA Network Vulnerability Assessment Professional – CNVP Stackable Certification, CompTIA PenTest+ ce Certification, and CompTIA Security Analytics Expert – CSAE Stackable Certification.

Lastly, Joseph joined the GIAC Advisory Board in July 2020, reflecting their involvement and expertise in the field.
