Tony Wiersma

Tony Wiersma has extensive work experience in the IT field. Tony started their career at Redeemer University in 1999, where they worked as an IT Support and A/V Manager, responsible for managing the IT helpdesk and ensuring the smooth running of technical performances in a large auditorium. From 2002 to 2016, Tony served as the Manager of IT Services at the university, where they supervised the helpdesk and researched and developed solutions for hardware and software issues.

In 2016, Tony joined eSentire as a Systems Administrator in their Corporate IT department. Tony was responsible for engineering hardware and software solutions, managing user accounts for compliance purposes, and troubleshooting system issues. In 2018, they were promoted to the role of Senior Systems Administrator, where they further demonstrated their analytical and problem-solving skills by researching and recommending improvements to the organization's infrastructure and ensuring the security and integrity of systems. Currently, Tony holds the position of Technical Lead, Corporate IT at eSentire, reporting to the Director of Corporate IT and the Chief Information Officer. Tony oversees the helpdesk team and provides technical support to eSentire employees and customers.

Tony Wiersma began their education in 1997 at Niagara College, where they pursued a Diploma in Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology/Technician. Tony completed their diploma in 1999. In 2001, Tony attended the Schulich School of Business at York University, although the field of study is not specified. Finally, in 2007, they attended Redeemer University, where they studied Computer Science for one year.
