Valerie McKenzie-Flynn

Valerie McKenzie-Flynn has extensive work experience in various human resources roles. Valerie is currently employed as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at eSentire since September 2021. Prior to this, Valerie worked as a Recruitment Specialist at Grand River Hospital from October 2019 to August 2021. Valerie also served as the Human Resources Director at Oxford Medical Imaging Inc. from May 2015 to December 2019 and as the Human Resources Manager from June 2013 to May 2015. Valerie'searlier experience includes working as a Human Resources Generalist at Fiserv from March 2001 to December 2006 and as a Recruitment and Human Resources Coordinator at Equitable Life of Canada from May 1997 to March 2001.

Valerie McKenzie-Flynn has a diverse educational background. Valerie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Valerie also holds a Certificate in Small Business Administration and Management from the Guelph Wellington Business Enterprise Centre. Additionally, Valerie has a Diploma in Human Resources from Conestoga College.

Aside from their formal education, Valerie has furthered their professional qualifications through various certifications. Valerie obtained the Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter certification from AIRS, an ADP company, in January 2023. Valerie also completed certifications in Sales Negotiation and Talent Sourcing through LinkedIn in the same month and year. In November 2022, Valerie obtained certifications in Becoming an Ally to All and Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences, also through LinkedIn. To further enhance their recruitment skills, they obtained the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation from the Institute Of Professional Management- IPM in August 2017.
