Ryan Jopp

Ryan Jopp is an experienced academic and leader in the fields of management, sustainability, and tourism, currently serving as the Deputy Chair (Management) at Swinburne University of Technology since February 2014. In this role, Ryan collaborates with faculty to drive innovation in teaching, research, and leadership while overseeing various academic programs. Additional positions held at Swinburne include Major Discipline Coordinator, Senior Lecturer, and Academic Director (Education Quality & Assurance), where Ryan enhanced the quality and assurance of faculty courses. Ryan's research expertise is highlighted by a PhD thesis focused on climate change and tourism, alongside a significant teaching background at multiple universities. Recently, Ryan has taken on the role of Senior Advisor, Research & Education at ESG&I., contributing to efforts in environmental, social, governance, and impact initiatives. Ryan's educational background includes a PhD in Tourism and Climate Change Adaptation, an MBA in International Tourism, and a Bachelor of Business in Tourism & Management, complemented by a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching.
