Gary Roberson, CBCP, PCP

Gary Roberson, CBCP, PCP has extensive experience in the field of business continuity planning and disaster recovery. Gary started their career as a Data Center Assistant Manager/Lead Telecommunications Technician at McKesson in 1988, where they worked until 2002. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Cable/Fiber Optic Installer at TeleCommunication Systems Inc. Gary then transitioned into the role of Business Continuity Planner at the same company from 2006 to 2011.

In 2012, Gary worked as an Independent Consultant, providing expertise in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, as well as assisting with the deployment of emergency alert notification systems.

From 2012 to 2016, Gary served as the Manager of Business Continuity Planning at Global Payments, where they successfully directed the development, implementation, and testing of the company's business continuity program. Gary also managed nine BCP planner programs internationally and ensured regulatory compliance.

In 2013, Gary joined AECOM as a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Specialist, responsible for the administration, development, training, and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Gary provided stakeholders with the ability to maintain BC/DR systems and operations with minimal risks.

Currently, Gary is working at Engineering Solutions, Inc. (ESi) as a Business Continuity Specialist. In this role, they support organizational planning for addressing disasters and interruptions of business functions. Gary is also responsible for conducting annual federal government and agency level exercises, interpreting government regulations, and advising government management on the best course of action for program goals and compliance.
