Victor Barros

Victor Barros is an investor and group product manager at Gringo since 2021. Prior to that, they were the founder of Eskolare, an educational marketplace, from 2017-2021. During that time, they were responsible for the foundation, bootstrapping and business product-market-fit, fundraising with angel investors and Venture Capital funds, architecture and development of proprietary business technology, and research and development of new technologies that generate value for the business. From 2016-2017, they were a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization, an expert at the Regional Council LAC, and the Membership Chair. During this time, they were responsible for expanding the São Paulo chapter, organizing and executing selection and entry processes for new members, and strategic planning with other directors of the organization. From 2013-2016, they were the CEO of ZOOM education for life, a medium-sized company that provides educational solutions. During this time, they were responsible for organizational restructuring, financial restructuring, digital transformation, implementation of a franchise model, structuring and organizing business units, and trading with private equity funds, venture capital and strategic players in the education sector. From 2012-2013, they were a partner at Neue Labs, a consulting, research and training company in strategy and planning of digital products and services. During this time, they were responsible for the foundation of the company, strategic planning with other partners, formation of the technology team, development of new businesses, incubation and investment in startups, and solution of digital transformation for medium and large businesses. From 2008-2012, they were the Chief Operating Officer at ZOOM education for life, where they were responsible for financial and operational restructuring, legal restructuring, financial advisory, group economic assessment, and advisory on three Due Diligence processes. Finally, from 2008-2008, they were a Financial Analyst at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.

Victor Barros has a diverse educational background. Victor began their studies in 2007, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Technology from the Universidade Federal do ABC with a focus in Production Engineering. In 2011-2013, they attended Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa for Executive Education. From 2016-2018, they earned an Associate Degree in Financial Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2020-2021, they completed a Machine Learning Engineer program from Udacity with a focus in Computer Programming, Specific Applications. Victor is currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration - MBA program at FIAP, with a focus in Engenharia de Software.

Victor Barros also has several certifications, including Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) and Professional Scrum Master™ II (PSM II) from Scrum.org, obtained in April and August 2021 respectively. Victor also has a Master em Governança & Nova Economia from Gonew.co, obtained in June 2019, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in May 2019.
