Verena Ross

Verena Ross currently serves as Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), a position held since November 2021, after serving as Executive Director at ESMA from June 2011 to June 2021. Prior to their roles at ESMA, Verena Ross was Director at the Financial Services Authority from 1998 to 2011 and held the position of Analyst at the Bank of England from 1994 to 1998. Verena Ross holds both a BA and MSc from SOAS University of London, completed between 1991 and 1994, and has additional educational experience from the University of Hamburg.
