Dame Caroline Mason Cbe

Dame Caroline Mason CBE is a seasoned leader in the philanthropic and social investment sectors, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation since November 2013. Mason has extensive governance experience, including a term as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Environment Agency and various trustee roles with organizations such as SafeLives, Impetus, and Ethex. Previously, Mason held the position of Chief Operating Officer at both Big Society Capital and Charity Bank, contributing to the development of the social investment market in the UK. Mason co-founded Investing For Good Limited and has been involved with the Impact Investing Institute and Social Enterprise UK. Mason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Bristol.
