Narelle Height

Narelle Height has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Narelle is currently working as a Security Training and Awareness Manager at ESO since January 2023. Previously, they owned and managed Drama For Kids, a performing arts group, where they oversaw 15 staff members and facilitated the learning of acting, singing, dancing, and film-making skills for 120 students.

Prior to this, Narelle worked as a Senior Manager at PwC Channel Islands from August 2020 to December 2022, leading a team of Educational Technology SMEs and volunteers in upskilling projects. Narelle also had a role as a Manager at PwC from September 2016 to August 2020, where they were responsible for the development and launch of the Hive Academy, an education outreach program.

Before joining PwC, Narelle held a position as a Lecturer (Education) at Queen's University Belfast from June 2014 to August 2016. In this role, they taught modules on Java, AS3, Flash, C#, PHP & MySQL, Mobile & Web Applications, and led a team of 10. Narelle also wrote technical documents and research papers. Prior to their lecturer role, Narelle worked as a Teaching Associate at the university from December 2013 to August 2016.

Narelle started their career at Belfast Metropolitan College in December 2009 as a Course Coordinator for A-Level ICT. During their time there until December 2013, they designed and delivered teaching programs on PHP, MySQL, CSS, Relational Databases, and Visual Basic. Narelle was also appointed as the Course Coordinator for the A-Level ICT course and served as the Blended Learning Coordinator.

Narelle Height's education history includes various degrees and certifications. Narelle obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence from Ulster University from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they earned a PgCert in Applied Cyber Security from Queen's University Belfast in 2021-2022. In 2015-2017, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ulster University. Narelle also holds a PGCE from the University of Bath, which they obtained in 2006-2007, specializing in ICT, Maths, Business Studies, and Drama with QTS. In 2005-2006, they completed an Msc in Communications with Strategic Management and Marketing from Queen's University Belfast, and in 2001-2005, they earned a Bsc Hons in Computer Science from Ulster University. Additionally, Narelle has an ALCM(TD) in Speech & Drama from the University of West London, obtained in 1999-2000.

In terms of certifications, Narelle gained expertise in Digital Acumen from PwC in August 2021. Narelle also holds two accreditations from Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation obtained in May 2021, and AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business) obtained in April 2021.
