Rafael Jimenez Martin has a diverse background in software engineering, spanning across various industries and companies. Rafael began their career in 1998 at Ficosa International, where they developed control software and firmware for embedded systems. Rafael worked with different microcontrollers during their time there. In 2002, they joined Scentia Electronics, where they developed software applications in C for reactive systems, measurement systems, and automotive testing. Rafael also developed C++ tools for equipment testing and parametrization. After that, they worked at VARPE as a software engineer, focusing on application development for industrial weighing systems and maintenance of existing software. Rafael then moved on to CIRSA, where they worked as a software engineer, maintaining and developing software for V-Slots machines and adding new communication protocols according to country specifications. In 2007, they joined Indra Espacio S.A. as an external consultant and worked on critical software design and development for Uplink Stations in the Galileo project. Rafael followed the Galileo Software Standard for DAL C level. In 2009, they joined Mier Comunicaciones as a software engineer, and was responsible for software development until 2012. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at Broadcom as a software engineer, before joining Esperanto Technologies, Inc in 2018 as a software engineer.
Rafael Jimenez Martin completed their education in chronological order. From 1995 to 2003, they attended Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they earned a degree in Ingenieria Informatica, specifically as an Ingeniero Superior en Informatica. In 2006, they pursued further education at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, where they obtained a Postgrade degree in Basic Linux administration. From 2011 to 2012, they continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Post-graduate degree in Object-oriented software engineering.
