Paula Gomez Stordy, M.Ed., serves as the Senior Director of National Training and Technical Assistance at Esperanza United since May 2018 and holds the position of Commission Chair at the Essex County Commission on the Status of Women. As an independent consultant since July 2014, Paula specializes in non-profit fundraising and program development, developing comprehensive fundraising plans and enhancing organizational capacity. Paula has also mentored graduate students of color at Boston University and taught as an adjunct professor at Merrimack College. Previous roles include Development Director at Found in Translation, Inc., and various leadership positions, including Director of Community Relations, Program Director, Shelter Director, and Domestic Violence Program Coordinator at HAWC Healing Abuse Working for Change. Paula began their career as a Victim Witness Advocate at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Educational accomplishments include a Master’s Degree in Education from Merrimack College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/French from Regis College.
