Ivan Estevez

Ivan Estevez currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer and School Principal at Esperanza since July 2022, while also participating as an Academy Fellow at the Surge Institute starting September 2023. Estevez has held multiple leadership positions, including School Principal and Instructional Coach at Deep Roots Charter School from July 2019 to July 2022 and was a PhillyPLUS Principal Fellow with TNTP from June 2019 to June 2021. Earlier experiences include teaching roles in the District of Columbia Public Schools and Palm Beach County School District, along with participation in the DC Teaching Fellow program. Estevez's educational background includes a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard Extension School. Additional qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies.
