M.sc. Eric Frommé

Director, Drug Substance- Technical Operations at Esperion Therapeutics

Eric Frommé, M.Sc. has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Eric started their career as a Co-operative Education Student Employee at Forest Laboratories in 2002 and later worked as an Intern Student Employee at sanofi-synthélabo in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, they served as a Scientist II at Forest Laboratories. Eric then joined sanofi-aventis, US as an Associate Scientist from 2005 to 2007 and later became a Scientist I from 2008 to 2008. Eric continued their career at sanofi-aventis, where they worked as a Supervisor I from 2008 to 2011.

In 2011, Eric joined Celgene as an API Process Engineer and progressed through various roles including Associate Manager, Manager, Senior Manager, and Associate Director. During their time at Celgene, they played a crucial role in coordinating and leading projects related to the transfer and production of API compounds. Eric also contributed to the identification, characterization, and specification of regulatory starting materials and intermediates. Additionally, Eric supported regulatory filing strategies and conducted process characterization studies.

Eric then transitioned to Bristol Myers Squibb in 2020, where they initially served as a Technical Leader in Drug Substance Manufacturing Science and Technology. In this role, they provided leadership and direction to technical teams focused on the development and manufacturing of commercial pipeline products. Eric later became a Technical Product Team Leader responsible for managing an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop and execute a complete CMC strategy for BMS pharma commercial products.

Most recently, Eric joined Esperion in 2022 as a Director of Drug Substance- Technical Operations.

Eric Frommé, M.Sc. started their education in 1999 at Case Western Reserve University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Business Management. Eric completed their undergraduate studies in 2004.

In 2009, Eric enrolled at Rutgers University to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. During their time at Rutgers, they specialized in Pharmaceutical Engineering. Eric successfully completed their master's program in 2011.

Thus, Eric Frommé holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering and Entrepreneurial Business Management from Case Western Reserve University, and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Engineering from Rutgers University.
