Peter Herout

Associate Director, Scientific Affairs at Esperion Therapeutics

Peter Herout began their work experience in 2001 as a Clinical Pharmacist - Critical Care at Gundersen Lutheran. Peter then worked as a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator - Critical Care at Advocate Health Care from 2004 to 2008. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Clinical Research Scientist at EPI-Q, Inc. Peter then joined Cardinal Health as a Pharmacist from 2011 to 2014. Peter worked at Advocate Health Care as a Pharmacist and later as a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist - Neuro Intensive Care Unit from 2014 to 2018. Peter then became a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Advocate Aurora Health from 2018 to 2021. Most recently, they have been working at EPI-Q, Inc. as a Senior Director - Clinical Affairs since 2021. Additionally, starting in 2023, Peter will also be taking on the role of Associate Director, Scientific Affairs at Esperion.

Peter Herout earned their Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy from 1996 to 1999. Afterwards, they pursued further education at the University of Arizona from 2000 to 2001, specializing in Critical Care Pharmacy. Peter has obtained the certification of Pharmacist from the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy in September 2021. Additionally, they have expressed an interest in obtaining the BCPS certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, but it is unclear whether they have already obtained it. There is no information regarding any additional certification or specialization in ENLS (Emergency Neurological Life Support).
