Alaina Brinley Rajagopal

Alaina Brinley Rajagopal, MD PhD, is a co-founder of Esperto Medical, a company dedicated to advancing medical diagnostics in remote locations. Currently serving as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Kaiser Permanente and a Visiting Associate at Caltech, Alaina develops innovative tools at the intersection of science, medicine, and engineering. Previous roles include Aviation Medical Examiner in private practice and host, writer, producer, and editor at The Emergency Docs, a medical education platform. Alaina completed emergency medicine residency at UC Irvine and earned medical and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas Medical Branch, specializing in Global Health and Aerospace Medicine. Extensive research experience includes a position at NASA Johnson Space Center, focusing on public health, virology, and the effects of spaceflight on health.
