Katie Yaoto has a diverse work experience in the field of esports and operations. Katie has recently worked at Esports Engine as a Competitions Operations Official and Player Care, where they were responsible for administering global esports programs, implementing technology for program support, and serving as the players' main point of contact during live and offline events. Prior to that, they worked at NUEL as a Product Manager, overseeing the organization and management of nationwide university tournaments for games like League of Legends, TFT, and Apex Legends. Katie also collaborated with the Head of Operations to enhance tournament operations and logistics. At Kairos Group, Katie was a Tournament Executive, coordinating stakeholders and managing large-scale international tournaments across various esports titles. Katie played a pivotal role in executing campaigns for high-value clients and ensuring precise results. Before transitioning to the esports industry, Katie worked at Visual Platform Ltd as a Player/Stage Manager/TO, where they were involved in organizing esports events and managing tournaments. Additionally, they have experience in franchise operations management and store management in the food industry. Katie also worked at Apption Labs as a Technical Support and Testing Specialist, where they led international teams in providing technical support and diagnosing user issues. Katie was responsible for conducting software testing and applying firmware updates. In their earlier roles, Katie worked as a Shop Assistant at ESL Gaming and as a Waitress at TGIFridays Alumni. Katie also served as the Chairperson of DMU Esports Society at De Montfort University, where they coordinated events and managed the society's budget.
