Huan Yang

Huan Yang is a Principal Scientist at esqLABS GmbH, leading systems modeling initiatives in life science since April 2021, while serving as the scientific lead for the CRACK-IT Virtual Second Species challenge and task lead for ONTOX's Quantitative AOP networks. Huan has held expertise roles with the European Commission and was a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University, where contributions included developing data-driven approaches for quantitative systems toxicology and pharmacology through mathematical modeling and machine learning. Earlier experience includes conducting research at the University of Twente on chronic pain treatments and completing internships and externships focused on systems biology and radiotherapy at various academic institutions. Huan Yang earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Twente and holds multiple degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and Northeastern University.
