Amy Barnes

Amy Barnes is currently working as a Configuration Engineering Lead and Solution Engineer at Esri Australia since March 2022. Previously, Amy served as a Geospatial Consultant and Junior Geospatial Consultant at Esri South Africa from December 2017 to February 2022. Prior to that, Amy worked as a Lead Researcher at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Amy holds a BSc + BSc(Hons) in Geoinformatics from the University of Pretoria. Amy has a strong background in crafting and proposing GIS solutions to address critical business challenges and working with clients to implement GIS workflows on the ArcGIS platform. Amy's research projects include topics such as hazard and risk mapping and hazard control in rural communities.
