Jing Sun

Jing Sun is a Senior Consultant at Esri Australia, providing expertise in Esri technology-related consulting services since July 2019. Prior to this role, Jing Sun served as a Remote Sensing Officer at the Northern Territory Government, where an automated Python-based product for mapping mangrove forests was developed. Previously, as an Environmental GIS Officer, Jing Sun analyzed spatial data for fire mitigation plans, created risk-based products, conducted field surveys, maintained GIS data libraries, prepared cartographic products, and contributed to the development of a Web-GIS platform for public access to fire incident maps. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science from The University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Remote Sensing & GIS along with a Bachelor of Environmental Science in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from Charles Darwin University.
