Gert van Maren

Gert van Maren is a seasoned professional in the field of 3D GIS with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Principal Technical Product Manager - 3D at Esri since June 2015, Gert has previously led product management for 3D at Esri R&D Center in Zürich and has played critical roles in developing 3D GIS solutions. As the Owner/Director of Awesome3D, Gert applies expertise in 3D technology. Previous positions include Technical Product Manager for 3D at Esri and Head of Research and Development at Data Interface Technologies Ltd, where Gert focused on advancing 3DGIS and Virtual Reality systems. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Forestry, GIS and Remote Sensing from Wageningen University & Research.
