Patrick Wallis is an experienced leader in geographic information systems and urban planning, currently serving as the Head Innovator at the Esri Innovation Lab and Director of the Esri Built Environment Lab, where focus is placed on solving high-value problems through design-based research. With a career at Esri beginning in June 2011, Patrick has held roles including Facilities & Workplaces Innovation Program Manager and Facilities & Workplaces Practice Lead, contributing to the development of critical technologies that support customer workflows. Prior to Esri, Patrick served as Senior Planner and Real Property Asset Manager for the U.S. Coast Guard, managing extensive real estate assets, and as Senior Municipal Planner for the Town of Moraga, leading major land use initiatives. Patrick’s military experience as a First Lieutenant in the US Army Corps of Engineers involved strategic planning and equipment management. Patrick holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University School of Architecture and Built Environment.
