Thad Tilton

Thad Tilton is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in product engineering, application development, and education. Currently serving as Principal Product Engineer and Team Lead at Esri since October 2013, Thad leads a team responsible for creating and maintaining diverse documentation products while engaging with users to gather feedback and offer support. Prior to this, Thad held the position of Senior Application Developer at Geographic Information Services, Inc. and was the President of Tilton Associates GIS, focusing on custom application development and training in Esri products. With a strong foundation in academia as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Redlands, and earlier roles as a GIS Software Instructor at Esri and a GIS Technician at Utah State University, Thad combines technical expertise with a commitment to education. Thad holds a Master of Science in Geography with a focus on GIS from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Archaeology from San Diego State University.
