Zara Matheson

Zara Matheson is an experienced professional in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a robust background in product engineering and team leadership. Currently serving as a Product Engineer for ArcGIS Online at Esri since April 2019, Zara also holds the position of Team Lead for Community Maps at Esri Canada since May 2016. Previous roles include GIS Analyst and Coordinator of Mapping for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee, where Zara produced high-quality maps and managed GIS data requests. Zara's experience also encompasses a Research Associate/GIS Analyst role at The Martin Prosperity Institute, contributing to data visualization and analysis for academic and media publications, and a GIS Analyst role at the University of Guelph, focusing on maintaining GIS resources for students. Zara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Mount Allison University and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Fleming College.
