Althea D. Hua is currently serving as a K-12 Public School Substitute Teacher at ESS since August 2023, where responsibilities include providing meaningful instruction, maintaining a safe classroom environment, and implementing established routines and lesson plans. Prior experience includes teaching courses on Buddhist culture, religious sociology, and behavioral health at Benhuan Buddhism Academy from 2016 to 2019, and conducting freshmen orientation and social skills instruction at Chongqing University of Post and Telecommunications in 2009-2010. Althea holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Shanghai University and a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology from the same institution, as well as further education in acupuncture from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College-Berkeley.
