X S. began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Johannes Kepler University, where they were involved in several European projects for geometric simulation by using Splines. They implemented the kernel and UI of several software based on C++ and OpenGL. In 2009, they moved to INRIA as a Post Doctor Researcher. In 2010, they joined Magna Powertrain - ECS as a Software Engineer. Finally, in 2015, they became a Technical Project Manager at ESS - Engineering Software Steyr, where they were in charge of the development of the dip painting simulation software ALSIM, which is widely used in automotive companies.

X S. completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China between 2000 and 2004. Following that, X S. earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the same university between 2004 and 2009.
