Michael MacKay

Michael Mackay has a diverse work experience in the oil industry, starting with ExxonMobil in 1997. Michael has held various roles in ExxonMobil, including Distillation Process Operations Supervisor and Refining Business Analyst. Mackay then worked at Shell, where they served as Economics and Scheduling Manager and Refinery Support Technology Team Leader. Michael later joined Essar Oil (UK) Limited, where they held multiple positions, such as Head of EOUK Health Safety Security Environment and Stanlow Manufacturing Complex Operations Manager. Mackay also worked as a Downstream Oil Industry Secondee to the UK Government at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Currently, they are employed as the Chief Transformation Officer at Essar Oil (UK) Limited.

Michael Mackay attended the University of Cambridge from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical Engineering. Michael later attended the London Business School from 1997 to 2000 for Graduate Development. Michael Mackay is also a Fellow of IChemE, although the specific dates of their affiliation are unknown.
