Tomas Johnsson

Tomas Johnsson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of UniLodge Australia since July 2018, overseeing the leading operator of Student Accommodation in Australia and New Zealand. Concurrently, Tomas leads Essence Communities and Essence Apartments & Suites, both divisions of UniLodge Australia specializing in BTR management and short-term letting, respectively. Additional roles include Deputy Chair of the Student Accommodation Council at the Property Council of Australia, and prior membership in the Council for International Education under the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment. Tomas has held several directorships including with APSAA, HOTA, and the Accommodation Association of Australia. Previously, Tomas worked as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Operations at Mantra Group and Group General Manager at Peppers Hotels Resorts and Retreats. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, a Full Real Estate Licence from the Real Estate Institute Queensland, and completion of the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
