Niels Geurtsen

Niels Geurtsen, CFA, is an experienced energy trader currently working at Essent since April 2022. Prior to this position, Niels held a secondment in Weather Risk Management at E.ON from August to October 2024. Niels also served as a Fixed Income Trader at PGGM from January 2020 to March 2022 and gained early professional experience as an intern in Data Analytics at NextThinking in 2019. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Economics from Utrecht University and supplementary courses in Mathematics. Niels is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Finance with a CFA track at Tilburg University.
