John Haberman

John Haberman is a seasoned labor relations professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Labor Relations at Essentia Health since April 2022, John previously held the role of Acting VP, Chief Labor & Employee Relations Officer at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, where leadership was provided to the Office of Labor and Employee Relations. John also served as Director of Labor and Employee Relations at WMATA, managing a team of professionals overseeing multiple collective bargaining agreements for a workforce exceeding 10,000 union members. Prior experience includes a tenure as Associate General Counsel at Bemis Company, Inc., focusing on litigation and labor matters, and as an attorney at Law Office Martin L. Garden, specializing in labor and employment law. John holds a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton College.
