Mark Grim

Mark Grim is a highly experienced anesthesiologist affiliated with Essentia Health since August 2007, currently serving as a staff anesthesiologist in a large anesthesia practice at St. Mary's Hospital and Essentia Health-Duluth. Mark has held prominent leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at Saint Mary's Hospital, where responsibilities included overseeing the Medical Staff Executive Committee, and Chief of Anesthesia, playing a key role in policymaking and quality improvement for anesthesia services. Mark has also been involved in the implementation of the Epic Anesthesia application as a Physician Champion and served as Section Chair for a 20-member anesthesiology group. Prior to Essentia Health, Mark worked as an anesthesiologist at Northwest Anesthesia, P.A., and served on the Medical Advisory Board for GeaCom, Inc. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Cornell College. Mark holds certifications in Physician Building through Epic University and a Certificate of Business Administration from the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
