Joanne H. has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joanne began their career in 2004 as a Pharmacy Manager - Pharmacist at LloydsPharmacy, where they also served as an Accredited Pre-Registration Pharmacist Tutor and Pre-Registration Pharmacist. In 2005, they became Self Employed as a Locum Pharmacist - Community Practice. In 2014, they joined Essential Pharma as a Regulatory, Technical and Legal Affairs (Scientific Officer). In 2015, they began working at the Welsh Centre for Pharmacy Professional Education as a Pharmacy Pre-Registration Exam Question Author. Since 2020, they have been a Senior Director, Compliance and General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Essential Pharma.

In 2006-2007, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PG Dip.(LP)) from The University of Law (formerly the College of Law of England and Wales). In 2005-2007, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the same institution. In 2000-2004, they obtained a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society - MRPharmS from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) in 2005, a Registered Pharmacist from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in 2005, an Affiliate Member from the International Compliance Association (ICA) in 2019, a Registered Member - MTOPRA from The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (TOPRA) in 2016, and a Member from the same institution in 2013. Joanne has also obtained two healthcare compliance certifications from INSEAD Executive Education in 2020 and 2022.
