Darryl Scipio

Darryl Scipio, Esq. is an accomplished attorney and executive director with significant experience in law, education, and community engagement. As the founder of SCIPIO LAW LLC since October 2017, Darryl specializes in areas such as business, real estate, land use, and foreclosure defense. Additionally, Darryl serves as Executive Director of the Newark Chess Club, leveraging chess as a tool for teaching life skills to youth. Other roles include Planning Board Commissioner for the City of East Orange and Adjunct Professor of Humanities at Essex County College. With a background as Managing Partner of DS Real Estate Investors and CEO of DOS Media, Darryl has led initiatives in real estate investment and digital media for nonprofits. Past experiences include community organizing with 32BJ SEIU and the ACLU of New Jersey, as well as technical roles such as Webmaster for CNN. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School and a Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University.
