Karen Yates

Karen Yates is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently, Karen serves as the Communications and Marketing Manager at Essex County Council since July 2009, having held various roles including Traded Services Marketing and Brand Manager and Communications Account Manager. Prior to this, Karen worked at BBC Global News as the International Marketing Manager and gained experience as a Marketing Account Executive and Marketing Assistant across different divisions of the BBC. Karen holds a Diploma in Coaching from the Association for Coaching, a CIM Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing & Communications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and a BA (Hons) in Applied Language Studies with a focus on Russian and German from Thames Valley University and other institutions.
