Carol Finnie

Carol Finnie has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific information systems and project management. Carol is currently employed as a Clinical Informatics Project Manager at Essex Management, LLC since April 2021.

Prior to this, Carol worked at Bristol Myers Squibb from November 2019 to February 2022, where they held the position of Manager, Scientific Information Systems, Quality and Compliance, Data Integrity. In this role, they were responsible for quality assurance, data integrity, process improvement, and audits. Carol successfully represented the IT department on global and local data integrity initiatives and performed gap assessments for GMP instrumentation and enterprise systems. Carol also developed and led the Periodic Monitoring Review process for over 400 lab systems.

From January 2014 to November 2019, Carol was employed at Celegene as the Manager of Laboratory Systems Management. Their main responsibilities included project management of global enterprise scientific asset management, electronic notebook, and instrument software upgrades. Carol ensured projects were completed on time by allocating resources effectively.

Before that, Carol worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals from 2012 to 2014 as a Manager, where their role involved building and leading the lab systems engineering department. Carol successfully recruited and hired staff and contractors to develop a fully integrated enterprise-level offering.

From 2008 to 2012, Carol worked at both sanofi-aventis, Inc. and sanofi-aventis in various roles. As a Project Manager/Business Analyst at sanofi-aventis, Inc., they were responsible for consolidating the maintenance of over 5000 scientific instruments, resulting in significant cost savings. Carol also managed internal projects and coordinated with stakeholders, vendors, and IT departments. As a Business Integrator at sanofi-aventis, they managed the integration of third-party applications into the lab services environment.

Carol Finnie has a diverse education history. Carol holds an MBA in Computer Applications from NYU Stern School of Business. Carol also has a BS in Biology and Computer Science from Union College. In addition to their formal education, Carol has obtained several certifications. Carol completed the "Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself" course from LinkedIn in May 2019. Carol is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, having obtained this certification in October 2019. Moreover, Carol is a Certified Data Management Professional as well as a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Certified. Carol has also completed coursework in Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt from Rutgers University. Additionally, Carol has taken courses in ITIL v3 and holds a Project Management Masters Certificate from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Finally, they have obtained a Six Sigma White Belt from Agile, Business Values Awareness Sessions.
