Kyle Teamey

Mr. Kyle Teamey is an investor with Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV) and has spent most of his career developing companies and technologies. Prior to joining BEV, Kyle was an investor with In-Q-Tel (IQT). Kyle developed IQT’s Industry 4.0 investment theme, which encompassed manufacturing, logistics, energy, and materials. While at IQT, he also served as an Executive in Residence for Columbia Technology Ventures. Before IQT, Kyle was an entrepreneur with companies and funds to include Liquid Light (CO2 utilization), Redpoint Ventures, Switch (energy projects), and Dunia Frontier Consultants (international finance). Kyle was the product lead for TiGR situational awareness software while at DARPA, which spun out as Ascend Intel and was acquired by Lockheed Martin. He also served on active duty in the U.S. Army. Kyle holds a B.A. in Environmental Engineering from Dartmouth College, a M.A. in International Finance and Energy Policy from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a M.S. in Materials Science from Columbia University.
