Janine Smith

Janine Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health and safety and injury management. Currently serving as the Health & Safety Business Partner at Estia Health since October 2021, Janine previously held the position of National Injury Management Manager at Bega Cheese Limited for a brief period in 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing injury management and workers' compensation for a workforce of over 2,500 across multiple sites. Prior to that, Janine dedicated nearly two decades at Lion, progressing through roles such as National Injury Management Manager, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, and Distribution Network Food Safety Coordinator. Janine's foundational experience began in technical roles focused on quality and food safety from 1993 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry and Microbiology from the University of South Australia, alongside various certifications in incident investigation, return to work coordination, and food safety auditing.
