Tony Tharaka has held various roles at companies such as Estia Health, Village Roadshow, BreastScreen Victoria, Sri Lanka Telecom, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, and University of Moratuwa. Their roles have ranged from Head of Information Security to Senior Engineer in Network and Security, showcasing their expertise in the field.

Tony Tharaka Perera graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in 2002. Tony Tharaka also holds multiple certifications in the field of information security and networking, including the Chartered Security Architect Foundation Certificate, Qualys Certified Specialist, and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
