Silja Oja

Silja Oja is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communication, marketing, and social services. Currently serving as Chief Specialist in foster care communication at the Estonian Social Insurance Board since March 2020, Silja is committed to ensuring every child has a home and family. Prior roles include Editor in Chief at the Estonian Marketing Association, where Silja oversaw news publications and coordinated the National Festival of Creativity, and a journalist at Viimsi Teataja, serving a local community audience. Additionally, Silja worked as a Marketing Specialist at the Estonian Refugee Council, focused on assisting refugees in business initiatives, and has held various editorial and managerial positions in the marketing sector, including at Äripäev and Fotobrigaad OÜ. Silja’s educational background includes a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Tartu and selected courses in Communication Management from Concordia International University Estonia.
